On Wednesday (27/05), PrivyID’s Chief Information Officer, Krishna Chandra, joined as a speaker in a webinar organized by students of Universitas Kristen  Duta Wacana (UKDW) Yogyakarta.

Moderated by Mr. Willy Sudiarto Raharjo, who is the Deputy Dean III of Student Affairs and Partnership of UKDW Yogyakarta, the webinar was opened with an introduction of PrivyID by Krishna Chandra to the participants. During this session, Krishna talked about the use and functions of digital signatures. Krishna also provided a brief explanation about how PrivyID works to create an electronic certificate for each of their users. Each registration of PrivyID requires the user to submit their email, mobile phone number, and their national ID card (e-KTP). These informations were then verified against the national database. Only the information provided by the user matches with the official data, the user will be given a pair key (public and private key).

PrivyID places great importance on the safety of its users. Krishna also revealed that the hashing system used by PrivyID was SHA 256 (Secure Hashing Algorithm 256). Additionally, PrivyID also implements Transparent Data Encryption, which makes the Data Secure Manager locks the files on the PrivyID’s server that stores PrivyID’s documents and databases. This technology allows the administrator to limit access to files only to certain users. PrivyID’s Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) is organized in accordance to the international information security standard ISO27001, a standard that PrivyID has been certified with since 2018.

PrivyID’s policy of prioritizing their users’ security has earned the trust from some of Indonesia’s largest and most established financial services companies. PrivyID’s digital signature and digital identity solution are particularly essential to help these companies in digitizing their financial services, improving their efficiency, and reach millions of Indonesian customers remotely.

“Online transactions and digital activities have become even more inseparable from our day to day lives. PrivyID helps both customers and companies to access various services conveniently and quickly”, said Krishna.

Krishna also addressed the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic to the society. “It is a very tough period for all of us, but I believe it is important for us to keep our spirits alive. Never stop learning, practicing, and developing solutions to contribute more with our knowledge,” he concluded.
