On Tuesday (25/2), PrivyID in collaboration with the Indonesian Advocates Association (AAI) and Ministry of Communication and Information Technology (Kominfo) held a Focus Group Discussion on the Regulations and Practices of Conducting Electronic Certificates and Certified Electronic Signature in Indonesia. The event took place at Suasana Restaurant of Aston at Kuningan Suites, Jakarta.
The FGD was opened with a welcome remark from the Head of Regional Executive Board of AAI Central Jakarta, Mr. Nahot Silitonga. The event was then continued with a keynote presentation brought by PrivyID’s Legal Technologist Manager, Harzy Randhani Irdham, who explained about the role and the authority that PrivyID has as a certified Certificate Authority (CA). Harzy also gave a further explanation of PrivyID’s product along with the method and technology that PrivyID uses for digital signature.
Furthermore, Marshall Pribadi, the Chairman of Indonesia RegTech and LegalTech Association (IRLA), revealed the importance of requesting signatures in one transaction and that’s when digital signature comes in handy, to provide a stronger protection against identity theft and fraud attempts on online transactions. Therefore, it is also important to know the regulations of implementing digital signature and electronic certificate in Indonesia, as explained by the Head of Sub-Directorate of Electronic Certification Governance of Kominfo, Mrs. Martha Asima Bunga Simbolon.
PrivyID would like to thank Indonesian Advocates Association (AAI), Kominfo and IRLA for the lively discussion. We would also like to extend our appreciation too for all the guests who participated in the focus group discussion. We are looking forward to collaborating with all of you in the near future!
